We’re living in Malaysia which its major populations consists of Malays, Chinese, and the Indian community. With influences from Chinese, Malay, Nyonya, Indian and even Thai cooking, it is the original fusion cuisine, but home-cooked and still eaten with white rice on daily basis. We’re blend into a culture called Malaysian which is truly unique as we share the different culture of living as a whole. The dishes can be described as rich of tastes, hot and spicy.

As many dishes were passed on from one generation to the next in the kitchen rather than through formal recipes, the ingredients are constantly changing, evolving with the needs, available ingredients and tastes of the local community. Different people have their own interpretation or recipe for the same dish, even within the same family.

Despite chilli and curry, vegetables are frequently blanched or eaten raw in salads, often accompanied by spicy dips and sauces. Major Asian cultures have been aware of the medicinal and nutritional benefits of plants and vegetables. Many plants have been proven to help strengthen the immune system, thus protecting against disease. This has been widely practiced and passed down by some of the traditional folk in Asian region.
